PetSafe In-Ground Dog Fence 1000 ft WiseWire. Perfect for pet owners who love to see their dog run around the yard, this PetSafe in-ground dog fence system works by sending a signal from a transmitter to the ultra-light receiver collar that your dog wears as soon as they run too close to the boundary wire.

The warning tone emitted as a beep sound causes most dogs to stop quickly and back away from the boundary line. If your dog continues to approach the boundary line, the collar will emit a static correction to remind your dog to stay in the yard. You can choose what level of static correction your dog needs to match his personality. About the Wire: WiseWire is lighter yet stronger than any pet fence wire on the market today.

It has 5 times the break load of standard 20 gauge wire and is equal in strength to 14 gauge solid core copper wire. Two metals-custom grade steel core wire and copper-are bonded together to make the wire very resistant to corrosion. Wrapping the steel core wire with the copper in this way-also known as copper cladding-adds durability and strength to the wire. The wire is also insulated with a high-density, high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE/HDPE).

It provides superior protection against the elements. Accidental breaks that can sometimes occur when the ground soil and rocks naturally shift are also minimized. WiseWire is made in the USA from materials that can be recycled.
